Maybe I should have waited for the end of the day to write an article about NBA coaches that got whacked the day after the season ended.

Add Lawrence Frank to the list. The Detroit Pistons fired the guy that took the New Jersey Nets to the finals a few years back. Frank lasted only 2 seasons in Detroit.

This season the Pistons were a paltry 29-53. In his 2 seasons with Detroit Franks record was 54-94.

Pistons owner Tom Gores, who recently purchased the team said before the season his team should be in the playoffs. Instead Detroit started the year 0-8 and things barely got better for Frank and his club. They won only 1 game in March. Frank will still collect the 4 million that the Pistons owe him for 2014.

Earlier in the day the Cavs fired Byron Scott. Doug Collins made it official and resigned as coach of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Stay tuned the day is still young. Who knows who goes next!
