Congratulations to former Siena Saint Basketball standout Alex Franklin. the former star at Siena has made the Puerto Rican National Basketball team. That team will now try and earn a spot in the upcoming Olympic games. Franklin was named to the final roster on Monday night.

Franklin and his club will compete in the upcoming FIBA Olympic Qualifier tourney which begins next week in Caracas. 12 teams in all will be competing for the 3 final spots to head to the Olympic games in London England starting July 27th.

Puerto Rico plays Jordan then Greece in the qst 2 games starting July 2nd. The Puerto Rican team has several NBA players on their roster including J.J. Barea of Minnesota, Ronaldo Blackman the former Knick now playing for Denver, Ricky Sanchez of the memphis Grizz.
