Four UAlbany Great Danes were honored by the America East on Thursday with postseason basketball awards.

Scotia native Joe Cremo was honored as an America East First Team All-Conference a season removed from being Second Team All-Conference. Cremo is fourth in the America East with 17.6 points per game and third with 3.9 assist per game. Cremo also earned his second All-Academic Team with a 3.36 GPA, majoring in communications.

Travis "The Walking Bucket" Charles was honored as an America East Second Team All-Conference player. Charles is ninth in the conference with 14.9 points per game and is third in field goal percentage at 55.2%. Charles has scored in double digits in 26 of 30 games this season.

Junior guard Devonte Campbell was honored as an America East All-Defensive Team member for the second time in as many years. Head Coach Will Brown has praised Campbell's defense all season and is tasked with guarding the opposing team;s top scorer. Offensively, Campbell 6.9 points per game and 4.2 rebounds per game.

Junior guard David Nichols, a CoSIDA Academic All-District I honoree, lands on the All-Academic Team for the second straight season.  He has the top GPA among the Great Danes with 3.91 GPA in communications.  On the court, the junior guard is in the top-10 in the America East with 14.8 points per game and 3.4 assists per game, scoring in double figures in 25 games this year.
