Frank Kaminsky Drafted To Hornets

Wisconsin C Frank Kaminsky was drafted to the Charlotte Hornets. He will look to matchup nicely with big-man Al Jefferson.

Kaminsky profiles as a player who fits into today’s NBA because of his ability to shoot to go along with being seven feet tall. He's been killed throughout the draft process for his lack of athleticism, and his defensive ability.  He also interviewed very well as many are impressed with his intelligence and personality. The knock on Kaminsky is lack of athleticism and questions about whether he can guard NBA big men.

Kaminsky is well known in the college basketball community as he flourished in Wisconsin as a junior and senior. His senior season was nearly perfect but he came one win short of a NCCA championship. However he was named the National college player of the year as he averaged 18.8 PPG to go along with 8.2 RPG and 1.5 BPG. Frank “the Tank” has been compared to the likes of Josh McRoberts and Spencer Hawes.
