Jimmer Fredette scored 18 points on Monday as the Westchester Knicks took down the Canton Charge by a score of 131-115.

Fredette got his 18 points on 8-16 shooting. He added two three balls in five attempts while also grabbing three rebounds and dishing out five assists.

For the season, Fredette is averaging 21.4 points per game. He is shooting nearly 46 percent from the floor and is shooting 41 percent from behind-the-arc. It's been an up-and-down season for the Glens Falls native, who saw limited time earlier in the year with the New Orleans Pelicans before signing in Westchester. He then spent time with the New York Knicks on a 10-day contract before heading back to the affiliate.

Fredette won the D-League All-Star MVP after putting up a record scoring number with 35 points. Hopefully Jimmer can continue to impress at the D-League level and can earn another shot in the NBA.

Fans of the Capital Region are certainly rooting for him.
