Jonathan Loaisiga has been very good in the minors for the New York Yankees. The 23-year-old right-hander is shown in the video above in his last start at Trenton for the Thunder. He will make his Yankees' debut Friday night at Yankee Stadium against the Tampa Bay Rays.

In an article in the New York Daily News, Yankees' VP of baseball operations Tim Naehring explains what the club sees in Loaisiga:

“He’s an interesting guy because he’s shown the ability to throw strikes and obviously he’s on the 40-man roster, so his name will obviously continue to be discussed,” Naehring said. “It’s a tribute to him coming back from the injury.”

Loiasiga, has three pitches a mid 90's fastball, power curveball and a changeup. All eyes will be on the young man this Friday to see if he can possibly contribute to the Yankees' starting rotation long term.
