We are just days away from the first tip-offs of the high school basketball season, and we are here to get you ready:

To do that, we brought in Steve Dagostino of Dags Basketball, one of the best basketball training groups in the Capital Region.

Dagostino starred locally at Guilderland and St. Rose before playing professionally in Europe.

Dags broke down who his group has worked with this offseason and who has impressed him. He also told us what makes Kevin Huerter so special and what makes Maryland such a good fit for him.

Then, we heard who the next tier of players is after Huerter, including Hameir Wright of Albany Academy.

We asked about Scotia: Can the run of dominance continue despite the graduation of Joe Cremo? And how impressed is he by what Cremo has done through five games at UAlbany?

Lastly, we asked for some small-school players to watch: After all, someone has to take the place of Joel Wincowski (Lake George).
