After getting down 35-7, the New York Giants made a feverish comeback against the unbeaten Carolina Panthers. The G-Men tied the game at 35-35 before losing on a last-second field goal off the leg of Graham Gano.

With the loss, the Giants are now 6-8 and on the outside looking in of the NFC East race. The Redskins win puts Washington in front at 7-7. The Panthers remain unbeaten at 14-0 and are in the drivers seat for home-field advantage in the NFC.

Cam Newton threw for 340 yards and five touchdowns in the win. He also ran for 100 yards exactly in helping solidify his case for MVP of the league.

On the Giants side, Eli Manning threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns. The Giants also ran the ball effectively, getting 107 yards from Rashad Jennings.

But the main story of the game was the constant battle between Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman on the outside. Each was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct and Beckham could have been ejected after running full-speed into Norman with a helmet-to-helmet hit.
