When the Giants broke mandatory Mini-Camp last week, they felt really good about their backup quarterback. Davis Webb was impressive and heard high praise from new head coach Pat Shurmur, who called him big, strong and someone who can throw. It explains why the  Giants didn’t draft one of the stud quarterbacks at the top of the draft. It’s not a knock on Eli Manning who is the clear cut starter, but it does give the Giants confidence when Manning is ready to retire, they have their future quarterback in Webb already in place.
