I know it's only the preseason, and it's a relatively meaningless 21-0 loss to the Buffalo Bills, but the Giants have some real concerns.

I picked the Giants to win the NFC East - and I still think they will - but they will need to make some drastic improvements from what we've seen this August.

The Giants can't run the football right now. They did have 102 yards against the Bills, but 67 of that came on one play late in the game by Bobby Rainey. The Giants frontline runners (Rashad Jennings and Shane Vereen) had a combined 10 carries for 25 yards. The Giants also lost a fumble on the ground courtesy of Andre Williams.

Part of the reason that I picked the Giants was their strong passing game. Eli Manning was just 4-9 for 44 yards and without a developed run game, the Giants will put even more pressure on the star quarterback to carry the load.

Defensively, the Giants were better, forcing a fumble at the goal line and registering three sacks, but they also allowed Bills quarterbacks to go 21-35 for 284 yards and two touchdowns.
