It obvious Mike Shula was not the Giants first choice as their offensive coordinator, but if he’s not calling the plays, it doesn’t really matter.

Head Coach Pat Shurmur will call his own plays, what Shula will be responsible for most is grooming Eli Manning’s replacement. The Giants will draft a quarterback No.2 overall in April and Shula needs to make sure he’s ready when called upon. Shula has all the experience including spending the last 5 years as the Offensive Coordinator in Carolina.
