New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz's official comeback was extremely short lived. Giants head coach Tom Coughlin announced Thursday that the veteran receiver is out for Sunday's game with the Buffalo Bills because of his lingering calf injury that took him out of practice on Wednesday.

Coughlin said the Giants will take Cruz's status day by day, as he continues to try to make it back on the gridiron for the first time since going down with a knee injury last season. The Giants will continue to rely on stud Odell Beckham, Jr., Rueben Randle and Dwayne Harris as the teams primary wideouts.
