EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Giants starting center Jim Cordle's season is done after the team placed him on injured reserve Tuesday.

He has a patella tendon injury that he sustained Sunday in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Cordle joins fellow offensive linemen Chris Snee and David Baas on injured reserve.

Cordle's place on the roster was taken by Stephen Goodin, who has spent the entire season on the Giants' practice squad.

A third-year pro, Cordle has played in every game since the start of the 2012 season. After Baas hurt his neck, Cordle started three straight games, beginning Sept. 29 in Kansas City. Baas returned on Oct. 21 vs. Minnesota but hurt his knee, and Cordle started the last four games.
