The New York Giants have a lot of holes to fill. What free agents could they acquire in free agency to fill those vacancies?

Should Wilkerson somehow not be franchise tagged by the Jets, which is highly likely, consider the Giants major players for his services. Wilkerson's speed off the edge is exactly what defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo needs in order for his defense to be effective. The lack of a pass rush last season resulted in the Giants having the worst defense in the league despite forcing the most turnovers in the NFL. Wilkerson will be the Giants prime target should he hit free agency. Expect him to get Jason Pierre-Paul's deal that he turned down prior to his fireworks accident last July (Possibly north of $14M per year).

The Giants lack a possession wide receiver. With Victor Cruz sidelined all of last season, it is likely that the Giants restructure his deal in order to add another target for QB Eli Manning. Mohamed Sanu would be a great weapon in new head coach Ben McAdoo's offense. He gives Manning another weapon on the outside that can keep Cruz or Beckham Jr. in the slot where they are most effective. With Reuben Randle likely heading out of New York, Sanu would be a plus signing that would be able to produce a lot more than Randle had. Sanu has a possibility to shine in this offense that desperately needs another weapon.

LB Danny Trevathan:

Fresh off a Super Bowl win, Danny Trevathan looks to cash in this off-season. "Cash" is exactly what the Giants will have too. The linebacker position has been quite the liability the past few seasons for the Giants and they will certainly look to improve in that area. Trevathan will give the Giants the coverage linebacker they haven't had since Chase Blackburn, who wasn't the best coverage linebacker to begin with. By adding Trevathan, the Giants defense will be able to let their linebackers do what they do best. Devon Kennard is an excellent pass rusher. Having Travathan back in coverage will allow Kennard to come off the edge as an outside linebacker and provide that desperately needed pass rugh that the Giants have been missing.

Other players to keep an eye on: Olivier Vernon (DE Dolphins), Bruce Irvin (DE Seahawks), Stephen Tulloch (LB Lions), TaShawn Gipson (S Browns), Dwayne Allen (TE Colts), Lamar Miller (RB Dolphins), Alfred Morris (RB Redskins), Marvin Jones (WR Bengals), Jerraud Powers (DB Cardinals), Zach Miller (TE Bears), Jake Long (OT Falcons), Alex Boone (OG 49ers), Jahri Evans (OG Saints), Rishard Matthews (WR Dolphins), Justin Durant (LB Falcons). *All unrestricted free agents*
