For quite some time now, the Super Bowl Champions have  kicked off the NFL season in Prime Time. This year is no different as the New York Giants will take on the rival Dallas Cowboys on  Wednesday, September 5th at MetLife Stadium.

Normally, the NFL season is started on a Thursday night (the NFL has been doing that for years),  but due to the fact that President Barrack Obama is set to speak at the Democratic National Convention, the NFL game was pushed back a day to avoid avoid any conflicts.

The last time these two teams met was the last game of the 2011 season, when The Giants defeated the Cowboys 31-14 and determined which team would win the NFC East as well as  go to the Playoffs.

Kickoff will be at 8:30pm on September 5th on NBC, and you can probably expect a couple big name musical acts to perform before the game, as has been the case over the years.
