Glens Falls rising sophomore Joseph Girard III has picked up his third scholarship offer from a Division I school. He's already received offers from High Point and UAlbany and has now added George Washington to the list.

Girard averaged more than 30 points a game during his freshman season for Glens Falls and led them to the Class B final, where they fell against Hudson.

He's got the ability to shoot from long-range but also goes to the hoop and excels at the free-throw line. He went 22-22 from the charity stripe during a game last season in which he scored more than 50 points.

The fit at George Washington is a logical one as Capital Region native Carmen Maciariello is one of the top assistants for a Colonials program that is coming off an NIT championship.
