Goz’s College Football Poll (Week 4)
For the second consecutive season I’ll be providing my own personal Top 25 poll each week during the college football season. My poll philosophy all season long has been ranking the teams I believe are the best twenty five best in the country following that given week’s games. Below are my rankings and comments about each week’ biggest shake up and changes. Do you agree or disagree? Let me know below or on Twitter @TomGozz
1) Alabama
2) Clemson
3) Oklahoma
4) USC
5) Penn State
6) Oklahoma State
7) Florida State
8) Ohio State
9) Georgia
10) Washington
11) Michigan
12) Wisconsin
13) Virginia Tech
14) Auburn
15) Washington State
16) South Florida
17) Florida
18) Mississippi State
19) TCU
20) Louisville

Clemson Jumps Oklahoma-No DeShaun Watson? No problem. The Tigers looked very impressive on the road in a win over the Louisville Cardinals, 47-21. Last year's Tigers quarterback DeShaun Watson believes the new quarterback Kelly Bryant will be better than Watson was during his tenure in Death Valley. The Tigers' defensive line has four potential first and second round NFL draft picks up front. I like Baker Mayfield and company in Norman but the Clemson defense gives them the edge now.
Florida State Football Still Too High?- Coach Jimbo Fisher's team lost to Alabama. Again, the Florida Seminoles lost to Alabama! It seems like most college football voters ran away from the Seminoles once their starting quarterback was lost for the season. Let me see them first before I sent the team from Tallahassee falling down the rankings.
Am I Still Missing Something with the Miami Hurricanes?-I know this is the second time in four weeks I have written about this team but what am I missing? The biggest difference again in my poll compared to the AP Poll is the ranking of the Hurricanes. The AP Poll has the Hurricanes at 14. I have them at 22. This program has not won double digit games since the 2003 season. They have never played in an ACC title game. They don't have a stand out player like years past (Duke Johnson, Brad Kaaya). Somehow they are ranked fourteenth in the country after beating Bethune-Cookman? I get "The U" is legendary in college football but this team has yet to prove to me anything this season.
