For the third consecutive season,I will be providing my own personal Top 25 poll each week during the college football season. My poll philosophy all season long will remain the same and that is by ranking the teams I believe are the best twenty-five best in the country following that given week’s games. Below are my rankings and comments about each week’ biggest shake-up and changes. Do you agree or disagree? Let me know below or on Twitter @TomGozz

  1. Alabama
  2. Clemson
  3. Georgia
  4. Ohio State
  5. Oklahoma
  6. LSU
  7. Notre Dame
  8. Stanford
  9. Washington
  10. Penn State
  11. West Virginia
  12. UCF
  13. Miami
  14. Oklahoma State
  15. Wisconsin
  16. Michigan
  17. California
  18. Kentucky

  25. Texas A&M

What the hell happened to Virginia Tech?-..... ya that's a good question. Old Dominion played great. They deserved to win. My investment into the Hokies winning the national title hurts. The win all but closes the deal on Virginia Tech on a national title, but the ACC Title still isn't out of question. After the loss, I can't keep the Hokies in the Top 25.

Why no Syracuse? - Yes I am a Syracuse football season ticket holder so I have a bit bias towards the Orange. However I still barely BARELY could not put them in this week's Top 25 poll. It came down to Texas A&M and Syracuse for the 25th spot. I know the Aggies have two losses compared to Syracuse's zero losses. However Texas A&M's losses came to Alabama and Clemson. The two point loss to the Tigers will be a great evaluator on where Syracuse ends up next week. The Orange upset the Tigers in 2017 but this time the game is on the road.

Ohio State vs Penn State winner wins Big Ten?- Yes! The Wisconsin Badgers' loss to BYU forced me to reevaluate that team. The Buckeyes and Nittany Liions have the chance to put on the game of the year in college football. The winner will likely be a Top 4 team in next week's poll and be in position for a college football playoff appearance.
