Did the college football playoff committee get it right? Yes. Oklahoma's lone loss came against Texas on a neutral field. The Sooners were able to avenge that loss in the Big 12 title game against Texas this past weekend. Ohio State finished the season with one loss, but their overall season performances were not as impressive as the Sooners. As for Georgia, they gave Alabama everything they could handle in the SEC title game. The twenty point road loss to LSU proved to be the difference in the Bulldogs missing the playoffs this season.

In the end do you truly believe UCF could beat the teams above?-The answer for me is no. They were trailing against a good Memphis team in the conference title game, along with the majority of their wins coming against bad teams this season. The teams at the top are very good. HOWEVER that does not mean the system is perfect yet. I would love the college football playoff to expand to eight teams. I know it has been a long time to just get it to expand to four. Eight of the best teams in the country, eliminating the regular season to eleven games can lead to more exciting games in the future.
