This season I’ll be providing my own personal Top 25 poll each week during the college football season. Get Ready for the Debate Later This Week: Clemson will be ranked higher than Michigan: The College Football rankings will be released on Tuesday. My prediction is that the most hotly debated talking point will be Clemson ranked over Michigan. In the current AP poll Michigan is ranked higher than Clemson. Why? Well most voters may believe Michigan is a better team than Clemson but… Clemson has done more than Michigan this season when it comes to beating quality opponents. Clemson has defeated Louisville on the road and now Florida State on the road and a very good Troy team that I now have in the Top 25. The Wolverines have defeated Colorado, Penn State and Wisconsin which are very good teams but just not as Clemson’s. Do not be shocked if the Tigers rank higher than the Wolverines.

Is the SEC over rated? Every Saturday I’m watching and I know the quality of play in the SEC is better than any other conference. I have Florida at 9, LSU at 10 (with two losses) and Auburn at 14. Auburn’s best win was against LSU (on a last second play), Florida’s best win was against Georgia this week on a neutral field and LSU’s best win was against Ole Miss. It’s a situation where I believe in a matchup these three teams could beat a lot of teams in the country in a match up. It will be interesting to see how LSU plays against Alabama this weekend.

Last Week’s Question: Has Baylor. West Virginia and Nebraska hit their ceiling? Answer= Yes!  We ended last week’s edition with a questions about the two Big 12 teams and one former Big 12 team. All three teams lost this past weekend and all three teams will not get any higher for the rest of the season than they were last week. All of the squads had a chance to potentially get into the college football playoff despite their weak schedule. The college football playoff committee breathed a sigh of relief with their losses.
