The NFL Draft is far from boring.  There were plenty of great moments in the 1st round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

The 2011 NFL Draft started out with fans booing Roger Goodell loudly.  Fans chanted, "We Want Football!"  Considering the labor unrest in the NFL, the 2011 Draft was one of the most unique drafts ever.  Teams were not allowed to trade players for picks.  That scenario sent a ripple effect across the entire draft.

I've always said that the NFL Draft is one of the most positive events in sports.  Plenty of players broke down in tears after realizing their dreams of becoming an NFL player.  Von Miller and Mark Ingram were among some of the players who were very emotional.

It's enjoyable to see players realizing their dreams after working so hard.  Anybody who has worked hard to achieve something can identify with that.

There were plenty of surprises.  The Atlanta Falcons traded five picks to move up to take Julio Jones with the 6th overall pick.  The Tennessee Titans took Jake Locker 8th overall, and the Minnesota Vikings drafted Christian Ponder 12th overall.  All of these moves were unexpected.

There was plenty of drama in the 1st round of the 2011 NFL Draft.  It was entertaining, interesting, and unique.  I have a hard time understanding how a hardcore NFL fan wouldn't enjoy watching the 1st round.
