The Daytona 500 was first race driven under the lights due to delays, but this past Saturday saw the first scheduled night race of the 2012 Sprint Cup Series schedule. Points leader Greg Biffle  took the checkered flag at the Samsung Mobile  500 at the Texas Motor Speedway.

Jimmie Johnson lead the most laps with 156, but it wasn't enough as Biffle took over the lead from Johnson  at lap 304 of 334 and coasted from there. The victory gave Biffle his first win since the October 2010 race in Kansas. Johnson would take second followed by Mark Martin. Jeff Gordon and Matt Kenseth would round out the top 5. This was a rather uneventful race with only 2 caution flags for debris and only 10 caution laps. The race finished with a record 234 consecutive laps of green-flag racing.

Next week the Sprint Cup Series heads to Kansas Motor Speedway. The Action will begin around 12:30 on FOX.
