Getting booed for playing defense?  It must be an NBA All-Star Weekend event.  Check out Greg Monroe getting showered with boos for stealing John Wall's thunder.

I love this video.  It's so weird to hear a good defensive effort get jeered.  "Boo, good defense," doesn't quite roll off the tongue well.  That's what happened on Friday night during the Rising Stars Challenge.  The Rising Stars Challenge is a revamped version of the Rookies/Sophomores Game.  The game this year consisted of rookies and second-year players who were drafted by Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley.  Team Chuck ended up beating Team Shaq 146-133.

During the game, Detroit Pistons center Greg Monroe decided to take a little shine away from Washington Wizards point guard John Wall at the end of the game.  When John Wall started to set up a dunk attempt, Monroe grabbed the ball and tossed it to Tristan Thompson for an easy deuce.  TNT's Kenny Smith gave a long "booooo" to Monroe for the play.  I can't blame Monroe too much for taking the ball, but it is an All-Star Weekend event.  It's not exactly Game 7 of the NBA Finals.  Let John Wall put on a show next time, Greg.  No biggie though.
