Hakeem Nicks Could Return For Giants Training Camp

According to Hakeem Nicks and his head coach, the injured star receiver won’t miss any games, or even training camp, after having his broken foot operated on last week.

While summing up a conversation that he had with Nicks over the weekend, Coach Tom Coughlin told reporters " 'I'll be back for training camp' were his final words." Encouraging yes, but realistic? That may be another story. According to Coughlin, “[Nicks] has a cast and is elevated. He told me he was pretty much pain-free." Doctors initially expected Nicks to miss around 12 weeks with the injury, but some experts have suggested that he could begin to resume limited football activities in as soon as six. When asked him he would consider bringing back Plaxico Burress to replace a potential void left by Nicks, Tom Coughlin expressed absolutely no interest.
