Matt Harvey is taking baby steps in his return to old form. His performance on Wednesday was respectable and better than his previous four starts. The Mets had no offense after the fourth inning, otherwise the outcome against Arizona might have been different. The good news is Harvey kept his fastball in the 96-97 mph range, but his location still needs work. It’s all part of his recovery time after undergoing surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome, unfortunately the Mets are running out of time on this season and are perhaps running out of time on Harvey as well.

Matt Harvey's contract runs out at the end of the 2018 season putting the Mets in a difficult position. With a roster that's built to "win now", should the Mets hold onto Harvey even if that means losing him to free agency and getting nothing in return? Or should the Mets try to win without the once thought-to-be ace and trade him once (and if) his value rises? At the end of the day, I think the Mets will opt for the latter.
