The Berne-Knox-Westerlo girls basketball team beat Duanesburg, 77-45, to win the Western Athletic Conference Southern Division championship and stay unbeaten in Tuesday night activity.

Junior Liz Harvey had another big night pouring in 33 points. Anna Lease helped the cause with 12 points and Mary Salo contributed 10 as the Bulldogs upped their records to 9-0 in WAC play and 15-0 against all competition.

Meanwhile, Canajoharie defeated St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah, 46-28, behind MacKenzie Stahler's 20 points to clinch at least a tie for the Northern Division title.

In the Big 10, Troy had an easy time with Schenectady, 64-28. Mary Pattison paced the Flying Horses with 13 points.

Unbeaten Shenendehowa turned away Niskayuna, 69-28. Mary Kate Cusack and Emily Weber were the offensive stars for Shen with 18 and 11 points, respectively.

Hannah Friend and Christina Spicer each delivered 12 points as Holy Names toppled Lansingburgh, 65-39, in a Colonial Council matchup.

Also, unbeaten Watervliet got past Voorheesville, 56-51. Ailaya Demand poured in 20 points as the Cannoneers upped their record to 12-0, 14-0.

On the boys side, Scotia-Glenville and Gloversville met in a Foothills Council encounter and the Tartans prevailed, 58-49. Chris Zanta took scoring honors for Scotia with 15 points while teammate Joe Cremo contributed 13 and Casey Norton 11.

Scotia saw its record improve to 7-3 and 11-3 while Gloversville fell to 7-3, 8-6.

League-leading Glens Falls turned back Hudson Falls, 77-47. Once again, the Indians received balanced scoring to move their record to 10-0, 12-2.

Cam Girard led the way with 17 points, Devin Zurlo pumped in 15 points, Jake Martin netted 14 and Lee Girard had 12.

Charlie Peltz unleashed 27 points to give Queensbury a 68-60 victory over South Glens Falls.

Mitch Vdoviak connected on 32 points as Johnstown defeated Broadalbin-Perth, 68-39.

Jordan McBride took the spotlight with 36 points to power Mechanicville over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, 67-46.

Antoine Johnson put together 21 points and Jordan Gleason added 19 as 10-0, 13-1 Watervliet downed Voorheesville, 78-48.

Kareem Brown scored 13 points as league-leading Troy stopped Schenectady, 56-34. The Flying Horses are 13-0 in the Big 10 and 14-1 overall.

In a battle of Albany schools, CBA beat Albany High, 60-42. Joe Krong paced the Brothers with 17 points and Chaz Lott added 13. CBA is 11-1, 13-1.

Alex Lilac had the long distance range popping in nine three-pointers en route to 34 points as Hoosick Falls knocked off Stillwater, 58-36, in a Wasaren League contest. Hoosick Falls raised its record to 10-1, 13-1.

Another individual effort saw Kyle Waldron drill home 26 points to lead Schuylerville past Granville, 59-45.
