In last night's Portland Blazers vs Atlanta Hawks matchup, something happened that I bet you've never seen before.  Hawks guard Dennis Schroder drove to the paint losing control of the ball and falling face first into an opponents knee, causing him to lose a tooth.

Early in the fourth quarter with a 21-point lead, Dennis Schroder drove to the paint where he was met by two Blazer defenders.  Losing control of the ball as the defenders closed in, Schroder fell, landing face first into one of the defenders knees.  The impact caused Schroder's tooth to fall out as Blazers Tim Frazier laid in a basket at the other end of the floor.  But it was what he did next that makes this story a bit theatrical.

Schroder picked up his tooth off the floor and tucked it in his sock as he went to the sideline for a bit of dental work.  We've all seen players lose teeth in sports before, but never see any save the tooth by sticking it in their sock.  Keeping the tooth could only mean one thing; Schroder is a believer in the tooth fairy.  Lets hope he has a really good contact for dental implants.
