Everybody's different. That's why what worked for Cris Carter might not work for Josh Gordon.

The Hall of Fame wide receiver was cut by the Eagles in 1989 after having drug abuse issues. Monday morning on Mike and Mike, Carter said that Gordon needed to be cut from the Browns so that he could turn his life around like Carter himself did in that moment.

Only that might not work for Carter.

What will work? I don't know. And he doesn't know yet either.

But I hope that the former Baylor wideout gets a grasp on life and quickly.

I've had individuals close to me have substance abuse issues and each of them had a different life altering experience that made them wake up. Only difference is, they didn't make millions and have the entire country watching them.

Good luck, Josh Gordon. It's not going to be easy.
