The Giants offense was lacking in their first game of the year on Monday night against Detroit, with Eli Manning completing only 18 of 33 passes for 169 yards.

“These are growing pains of an offense and I think we knew this going in," said Herm Edwards, on 104.5 The Team.

“When you look at the players they have on offense. Who is scared here when they break the huddle? Cruz is a fabulous player and you think of him as a good running. If Calvin Johnson breaks the huddle, are you nervous?
“In football there has to be a concern when you break the huddle and no one is scaring you.”
