Former Siena head basketball coach Paul Hewitt is now the former head coach at Georgia Tech.

Today, Hewitt was fired after 11 seasons with the Yellow Jackets.

Hewitt had a 190-162 record in 11 seasons at Georgia Tech - including a surprising run to the Final Four in 2004.  But the Yellow Jackets had just one winning record in ACC league play over 11 seasons.

Georgia Tech was 13-18 this past season - it's 3rd losing season in the last 4 years.  His last game with Georgia Tech was a 59-43 loss to Virginia Tech in the 1st round of the ACC tournament in on Thursday night.

Hewitt was the head coach at Siena from 1997-2000.  He was 66-27 (38-16 in the MAAC) with the Saints and led them to the NCAA Tournament and a trip to the N.I.T. in his 3-year tenure in Loudonville.
