Mets Fans Have Had Enough Of Manny Acosta

Terry Collins wasn't my 1st choice as manager of the Mets. Truth be known after the dismissal of Jerry Manuel I was hoping the Mets would return to their glory days and bring in Wally Backman. Well Terry has done a solid job with a young club-except for juggling a terrible pen. You can argue the options are few-but please Terrry No more Manny Acosta!

I mean this in the nicest way-Acosta SUCKS!. Bad!. Real Bad!  Please Terry spare us any more blown games with this guy. What does a guy have to do to NOT get any more chances?

Acosta and others were at it again, tossing away a  possible victory over the Phillies Monday at Citifield. Jonathan Niese was shaly but survived. He handed off a 4-4 tie just to watch the Mets pen get abused again.

1st it was hard throwing but very erratic Bobby Parnell. He got tagged with the loss after allowing the winning run to score in the 7th. However it was Acosta, as usual, who made the game unwinnable when he allowed a 3 run Home Run to Ty Wigginton in the 9th that salted away the Memorial day matinee.

In 1/3rd of an inning the lousy Acosta allowed 3 runs-4hits. His E.R.A. is now a sickening 11.86...That's not a misprint! When is the last time Acosta worked a good inning? How many more times will Collins bring in this stiff only to have to watch teams use him for batting practice?

The Mets purged themselves of Pen mate D.J. Carrasco last week. He was dismal. Acosta is worse if that is possible.

The Phils were playing with a cloud over their heads as top pitcher Roy Halladay is about to undergo tests for shoulder issues. Former Met Wigginton had a career high 6 rbi's.

The Mets threatened in the bottom of the 8th of a 5-4 ball game. Andres Torres led off with a double and moved to 3rd on a groundout. With 2 outs Phils manager  Jerry Manuel rolled the dice and let starter and winner Cole Hammels go after suddenly slumping David Wright. Hammels induced a ground out and then in the 9th useless Acosta helped salt the game away with his usual brutal stint.

Memo to Collins--NO MORE! You will kill this team if you keep allowing the same sloths like Acosta to blow game after game after game. Send him down or send him out. Far and away out!
