Trevor Hiss connected on four goals and seven assists as Burnt Hills topped South Glens Falls, 19-5, in a Section II Class B boys lacrosse semifinal game on Tuesday.

Austin Clark and Tim Kenneally each scored four goals to help the Spartans effort.

Queensbury turned away Albany Academy, 12-6, in Class B semifinals. John Countryman supplied three goals and an assist.

Queensbury coach Keith Ellement will retire at the end of this season. He's served 28 years in the district and 12 years coaching lacrosse.

Harold Dettmer hit a two-run homer to lead Fort Plain past Warrensburg, 11-2, in a Section II Class C baseball game.

Hoosick Falls beat Galway, 6-4, in Class C play. Cody Gaines belted a one-run single to spearhead the victory. Cody Marshall smashed a three-run homer to lead the Galway bats.

Hoosic Valley topped Mechanicville, 5-0. John Rooney had a double and single for the winners and combined with J.T. Sawyer for the pitching victory.

In girls lacrosse, Niskayuna whipped Saratoga, 16-7. Kayla Treanor put together four goals and six assists for the Warriors. Emily Ryan added four goals.

Morgan Hardt tallied five goals and an assist to propel Guilderland past Colonie, 18=3, in a Class A quarterfinal game.

Kelly Wall scored five goals and Kristen Connors contributed four goals and an assist to power Shenendehowa past Bethlehem, 12-5, in a Class AA matchup.

Shaker whipped Columbia, 17-1, as Kaitlyn Cheney had three goals in a balanced offensive display.
