The Albany Empire Arena Football Team has announced that individual tickets to the inaugural game will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, February 28th at noon. Tickets for the April 14 matchup versus the defending Arena Football champion Philadelphia Soul with be on sale over the phone, in person, or online.

The Empire public relations team released this statement to the media by George Manias, Vice President of Business Operations for the franchise earlier this week.
“The moment the Capital Region has been waiting for has finally arrived! Individual game tickets for our inaugural season home opener are now available, so get your seats while they last!” “With tickets as low as $15, we want to give fans an affordable opportunity to enjoy the fast-paced entertaining action of arena football, while witnessing history.” 

In the inaugural home opener, the new franchise will honor the legacy of the past Arena Football League from the capital region. The Empire will pay tribute to the Albany Firebirds, the last AFL team to have been housed in the Times Union Center, by raising their 1999 ArenaBowl Championship banner.  Former Firebird, “Touchdown” Eddie Brown will be honored by having his number  retired as part of the pre-game festivities.  "Touchdown" Eddie Brown discussed this possibility last year with Levack and Goz
