It was in Game 5 against the Dodgers that Mets manager Terry Collins had closer Jeurys Familia pitch to his first six-out save. There was much meaning in that decision.

"[Collins] has tremendous faith in Familia," says ESPN's Buster Olney. "I remember last month, at the time we had the Mets and Yankees on Sunday Night baseball, he said to me, 'You know what? You could make a case right now that this guy is the best closer in baseball'.

"At first blush, you are like, ‘Really? You think so?’ And then you begin to go through the names and you begin to look at his performance. The way that he’s used that nasty two-seam fastball, that everybody calls a splitter, but he throws with a two-seam fastball grip, it makes you understand that Collins has seen so many great things out of Familia that he felt very good going there.

"It may also reflect a little bit less confidence in Tyler Clippard with the way that he handled his bullpen last night going from deGrom to Syndergaard to Familia and bypassing Clippard all together."

Game two of the NLCS is at 8:07p ET Sunday night on 104.5 The Team.

ESPN's Buster Olney joins "Armen and Levack" every Thursday at 5:15p ET, sponsored by All Star Wine and Spirits, on 104.5 The Team.
