Shen graduate Kevin Huerter is fresh off winning the U-18 FIBA America's Gold Medal in Chile and he joined 'Big Board Sports' with Rodger Wyland on Friday to talk about the experience and much more.

Huerter spoke about what the feeling was like having a gold medal placed around his neck, what the international competition was like, his own play, and what it was like having his future college coach (Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon) on the coaching staff of Team USA.

Huerter helped Shen to the 2014-15 Class AA NYS State Championship and followed that up with another Section II crown in 2015-16. He looks to be a prominent piece of Maryland's roster in 2016-17 and could even start as a true freshman.

He's got good long-range shooting ability and is able to elevate above the rim, but more importantly, he can handle defensive assignments on the perimeter with his great length.
