The NFL Free Agent period is fast and furious and many more players have found new new homes and others have signed big deals to stay put.

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson signed a monster deal today. Both sides agreed on a 7 year extension worth $132 Million with $60 Million guaranteed. This makes Johnson the highest paid WR in the NFL  Last season with the Lions, "MegaTron" had 96 receptions for 1,681 yards and 16 Touchdowns.

After losing Vincent Jackson to Tampa Bay, the Chargers picked up former Saints WR Robert Meachem. That deal is for four years and worth $25.9 Million.

Tampa Bay made a couple more deals today signing G Carl Nicks, formerly of the Saints to a five year deal worth $47.5 Million. They also signed a deal with CB Eric Wright worth $37.5 Million for the next five years.

The Vikings have a new Tight End as they have reached an agreement with former Seahawk John Carslon on a five-year, $25 million deal. The Chargers announced they have agreed to a new four-year contract with left tackle Jared Gaither. The Colts boosted up their defense with the signing of former Ravens DE Cory Redding and Tony Romo has a new backup as the Cowboys have come to terms with Kyle Orton on a 3 year deal.
