Shen rising senior Ian Anderson just got off the mound for USA Baseball in an exhibition game in Taiwan. The team will then head to Japan for the WSBC World Cup.

Anderson, a Vanderbilt commit, is one of the top players in the entire country and is playing as part of the 20-person USA 18U roster.

Anderson pitched 2.2 innings today, surrendering one hit and no runs while striking out five batters. He had two walks and was reaching 94 MPH on the radar gun.

The USA lost the game by the score of 7-6, but it was no fault of Anderson's, who came in in the fourth inning with runners on the corners and one out. He struck out the next two batters with a fastball and a changeup.

Anderson is well on his way to becoming a first-round pick in the 2015 major league baseball draft.

He went 6-1 this season for Shenendehowa.
