Shenendehowa senior baseball standout Ian Anderson just wrapped up quite a summer...

After leading to Shen to a Section II title game appearance, the top prospect in New York hit the national scene.

Anderson and his high-powered fastball pitched at the Perfect Game All-America Classic in San Diego, and then Anderson made the 18U National Team, where he represented Team USA at the WSBC World Cup in Japan.

Anderson and his teammates captured the Gold Medal in the event, and the right-hander returned home on Tuesday night. He missed the first day of his senior year.

Anderson met with the media on Wednesday afternoon at the Shenendehowa baseball field. We caught up with him and he spoke on the experience, the return to a normal schedule, and how he's feeling physically, and if he's ready for what's going to come next.

And what will come next is a whirlwind of questions and commentary about whether he'll attend Vanderbilt University, or if he'll head to the professional ranks. He has potential to be an extremely high draft pick in next June's major league draft.
