If The Yankees Are Going To Start Winning It Will Be Without Ellsbury
The Yankees have hit a rough patch and have lost 6 of their last seven games. Tonight against the Washington Nationals the work will be harder because the lead off hitter and center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury is on the 15 day disabled list. This is a tough loss for the Yankees because Ellsbury has been a consistent member of the offense and has been a great table setter. The one two punch of Ellsbury and Brett Gardner has made the Yankees offense far better(at times) than anyone thought they would be.
Adam Warren and the bullpen will be more important then ever tonight with Ellsbury absent. Warren will need to Keep Bryce Harper and Ryan Zimmerman in the park if the Yankees are going to have a chance tonight in Washington.
New York Yankees:
Adam Warren (2-2 , 4.50 ERA)
