New York Knick rookie guard Iman Shumpert will not be participating in the NBA dunk contest during all-star weekend after all.  He is suffering from a knee injury, which will prevent him from taking part.

Iman Shumpert is currently listed as day-to-day with a knee injury.  That injury kept him out of the last couple of games for NY, including Wednesdays 99-82 win over the Atlanta Hawks.  He will be replaced by Jeremy Evans of the Utah Jazz.

Shumpert had been playing through the injury, but on Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks it became apparent that the pain in his knee was starting to be too much.  No news yet as to how long Shumpert will be on the sidelines for the Knicks.
