The Stanley Cup finals kick off Wednesday, and one of the most prolific players has a shot at one more title.  Is Martin Brodeur the best goalie to play his position ever? Martin Brodeur has a chance to add a fourth Stanley Cup to his already impressive resume. His New Jersey Devils are set to face the Los Angeles Kings, and at 40 years old this may be Brodeur’s final opportunity to win a title.

He has nearly 700 wins in his career with more most likely to come, since he will most likely return next season. Brodeur already has multiple NHL records including games played, wins in a season, shutouts and more.  There is no doubt that he will go down as one of the greatest goalies in NHL history, but is he the best to ever play the position?
