The Duke Blue Devils tip off their 2018-2019 season against the Kentucky Wildcats Tuesday night at 930pm. Although there I am in no way a Duke Blue Devil fan, there is no denying the hype around freshman Zion Williamson. Before Williamson has played a single second for the Blue Devils he already has gained a following. Above is Williamson appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated. The above feature is one of many times he has appeared in the magazine. This year's Blue Devil has a reality show called Earn Everything appearing on the new ESPN + app. If that isn't enough, if you Youtube the name Zion Williamson, you will find multiple videos with millions of views, including the one below.

Has his hype exceeded that of former athletes like Bryce Harper and LeBron James? Both Harper and James appeared on SI's cover before they reached the professional ranks.

Although Williamson's hype is tremendous, it still ranks second in comparison to LeBron James. LeBron had Jay Bilas, Bill Walton, Dick Vitale and Dan Shulman calling his high school games on ESPN.

In lifetime LeBron James is still the athlete with the most "hype" around him. Zion Williamson is second. Do you agree? Who is the  most hyped up athlete in your lifetime? Let us know below.
