It has been a few years since Jaromir Jagr has played in the NHL.  He's been playing overseas since the Rangers let him go in 2008.  Now, he might be ready to return.

It seems that Jaromir Jagr is in high demand right now in the NHL.  Several teams are wooing the right winger in hopes of him joining up next season.  Most notably, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the team that drafted him back in 1990.

He was a big part of the Penguin teams of early 90's who won back to back Stanley Cups in 1991 and 1992.  He spent nearly 10 years in Pittsburgh before signing a massive contract with the Washington Capitals, after that he would join the New York Rangers. In 2008 however, The Rangers informed Jagr that they would not be resigning  him, so he left.  He went back over to Europe where he was expected to finish his career.

Now the Pittsburgh Penguins are interested in bringing him back.  Right now though, Jagr's agent is unsure of his location.  Several other teams are also interested in him.  The Detroit Red Wings and Montreal Canadians have reached out.  No word from anyone yet, and the best guess would that until the find Jagr we'll know nothing else.

It would be very cool to see him back in a Pittsburgh jersey to finish up his career, but he can leave that nasty mullet behind.
