Another athlete has bowed out of the upcoming Rio Olympic Games. Jason Day, the No. 1 player in the world has decided to skip golf's comeback to the Olympics citing health concerns surrounding the Zika virus.

Rumors are that this had been in the making for awhile. Day has voiced his opinion and uncertainty surrounding the games and how he was weighing his options before deciding.

Day now joins the ever increasing list of athletes and golfers in particular who are not participating in the Olympics. Over the past few months, Rory Mcilroy, Vijay Singh, Adam Scott, and a number of other players have decided to forgo the Olympics due to the Zika scare.

The virus is transmitted through mosquitoes. Anyone that's ever played golf in the summer before has run into an annoying mosquito on the course one time or another. Don't be surprised if more athletes, especially golfers, decide not to compete.
