Jason Giambi is old by baseball's standards. At 42 years old, he is one of the oldest active players in the sport. However, he didn't let that stop him from crushing a pinch-hit walk-off home run last night, keeping the Cleveland Indians at the top of the standings for the American League's second wild card spot.

Of course, it is ironic that Giambi made himself somewhat of a hero for the Indians last night, the same night that the Yankees more or less confirmed that they would not be experiencing postseason baseball with a crushing defeat to the Tampa Bay Rays. Maybe we Yankees fans can live vicariously through Giambi this postseason, hoping that he can become to the Indians what Raul Ibanez was for the Yankees last season.
