Today is the day that the New York Knicks have to make the decision to keep Jeremy or let him go.  They should let him go far, far away.

The New York Knicks are faced with a big decision today.  Should they match the Houston Rockets' 3-year, $25 million offer sheet to keep Jeremy Lin, or should they simply let him go?  The Knicks should absolutely let him go.  Jeremy Lin had a good run in New York during his 35 games of action last season, but paying the man $14.8 million in the third year of this deal is insane.

Jeremy Lin averaged the most turnovers per game last season and plays shotty defense at best.  He's a good scorer, but not great.  He's simply not an elite point guard and he doesn't deserve to be paid as if he is a top guard.  The Houston Rockets once released Jeremy Lin and now they want to sign him to a 3-year, $25 million deal?  That doesn't pass the smell test.  Let Lin go, Knicks.  Let Lin go.
