It's been talked this season about how Tom Coughlin has been on the hot seat along with Defensive Coordinator Perry Fewell. Somehow, Jerry Reese's name avoided the headlines and understandably so.

After having a straight-forward off-season press conference last January, detailing that no one's job was safe and that everyone was going to be evaluated, Reese looked himself in the mirror and truly delivered.

As well chronicled on Friday by Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano, Reese had an off-season that was highlighted by the draft selections of Odell Beckham Junior and Weston Richburg, all the way down to the signings of undrafted rookies Kerry Wynn and Orleans Darkwa, with several other important names in between.

Coughlin appears to be safe, Fewell probably not, but Reese should be commended for taking a big step with this Giants squad over the last 365 days.
