Tonight marks the first time you can hear the New York Jets live on your home for New York sports, ESPN Radio 1045 The Team. The Jets battle against the New York Giants in both team's third preseason game. The rivalry between the two New York teams has been nicknamed "The Snoopy Bowl" in reference to MetLife's prior use of Snoopy in the company's advertising. In October 2016, MetLife cut its ties with the brand after a three decade-long partnership.

For most NFL teams, the third preseason game serves as the closest thing to a regular season game in the preseason. It's unlikely that Giants All-Pro wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will play at all on Saturday night. As for the New York Jets, head coach Todd Bowles announced that the team will officially name their starting quarterback this Monday. How much can Saturday's game have an impact on that decision? Make sure to listen to New York Jets football all season long on ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team.
