Tim Tebow is Mark Sanchez's backup?  The Jets better be prepared for a full-blown QB controversy this season.

Tim Tebow was introduced on Wednesday afternoon as the New York Jets newest acquisition.  He will be the backup quarterback behind Mark Sanchez.  This is a recipe for disaster for the Jets.  Mark Sanchez isn't exactly Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, or Eli Manning.  He's a mediocre quarterback with the most popular player in the NFL as his backup.  Good luck with that, Jets.

I personally think Tim Tebow would have been a nice addition to a team with a top-5 quarterback.  New England made a lot of sense as a potential landing spot for Tebow.  Fans wouldn't be chanting Tebow's name if Tom Brady had a bad game.  He's an established starter.  Tebow's role would've been well defined.  With the New York Jets?  Not so much.

It won't take long for the fans to chant Tebow's name like crazy once Sanchez struggles.  I don't see Sanchez responding well once that happens.  I definitely don't see Tebow flourishing either if the Jets take their idiotic decision to acquire Tebow to the next level by making him the starter.  Tebow isn't too great at this whole throwing-the-ball thing.  That's kind of important when it comes to being a quarterback.
