Colin Kaepernick could find himself in Gotham playing for the New York Jets after contract negotiations with Ryan Fitzpatrick have reportedly stalled out. The 28 year-old was benched last season to Blaine Gabbert, and is looking to get out of the Bay Area.

The 49ers have reportedly shopped the Super Bowl losing quarterback around, asking for only a second round draft pick .Kaepernick's agents also requested permission from the 49ers on Feb. 26 to seek a trade for their client. He currently is recovering from surgeries to his left shoulder, right thumb and left knee.

Kaepernick is under contract through the 2020 season as part of the six-year, $114 million contract he signed in 2014. If the Jets don't reconstruct his contract by April 1, his $11.9 million base salary for 2016 becomes guaranteed.

WIth the New York Jets weapons at wide receiver, if Kap can get his turnover under control he could regain his Super Bowl form.
